Learn Italian for Fashion founder, Teresa Ingham Brooke (Vernacchia) was born in Italy into a family of top designers. She originally graduated in Modern Languages (English and French) at La Sapienza, University of Rome.

Straight after graduation she moved to London where, while working as a language teacher and translator, she took fashion and design courses at the London College of Fashion and Central St Martins.

As a course director, Teresa has worked for universities such as Oxford University,  University College London and Oxford Brookes. She has also devised and run intensive courses for VI form leavers at independent schools.

Since 1996 she has been providing specialised language training for the design industry, working for the Ferrari Formula One Team and top manufacturers, such as Smeg UK.

In 2007 Teresa has focused on Italian for fashion and started to coach luxury fashion houses, such as Burberry, Paul Smith and McQ Alexander McQueen, where, over the years, she has held classes and coached a number of senior executives and senior designers in 1:1 tailor-made Italian sessions.

 Courses for the Fashion Industry and Culture

 Fashion

 Learn Italian for Fashion provides specialised Italian language training for the fashion industry as 1:1 programmes, or in small groups for in-house company training. The emphasis is on practicality, direct experience and fun.

Course design reflects your business need. Training sessions will be held in your office so as to fit in with your working day. The standard session is 1 hour for 1:1 tuition and 2 hours session for group tuition. Usually each course consists of a minimum of 10 to 20 hours.

Learn Italian for Fashion students range from time- challenged CEOs, COOs and creative directors, distribution, supply chain, sourcing, VP of Logistics to finance and marketing groups and executives.

Learn Italian for Fashion will devise and run specific courses, based on the trainer’s own working knowledge of the industry, sessions are bespoke to each individual’s needs.

The uniquely practical Italian training covers concepts and technical terms within design, sourcing, product development, retail, marketing or manufacture. Market areas range from menswear to womenswear, textile and accessories.

Original content and material is sourced from a variety of Italian media, fashion and business sources and then adapted so as to be relevant to your business. Students can learn how to converse, negotiate, present or write reports in business Italian.
